So you want to buy a house...

First of all, buying a house in Greenville is the best decision you could make! Our market is strong and your investment will most certainly pay off. Renting is becoming increasingly expensive, more often than not you will be saving money by making the decision to own your own home. If you'd like to find out more about the market, please be sure to reach out to me and I'll give you the latest!

Buying a home is scary. There's no denying it. That's why people such as myself exist. There's a lot I will do throughout the process, but my number one goal is to help take away your alleviate that fear and turn it into excitement.

"Where do I begin?"

The first step in the home buying process is to figure out what you can afford. There's likely a large list of what you desire to have in your home, and that's great. But before you start shopping it's absolutely essential that you contact a lender. There is nothing worse than finding your dream home and then discovering that you cannot afford it. There are some great mortgage brokers and lenders that I have worked with in the past that I can recommend. Be sure to shop around and figure out who works best with your situation.

"Then what?"

Got your pre-appropval letter? Now for the fun part! Once you know what you can afford you can start shopping! Everyone has different schedules and I do my best to accommodate your busy life. My goal is to meet you face to face first, perhaps over coffee or a bite to eat, that way we can more intimately establish our personal and business relationship. Once we do that, we hop in our cars and go shopping!

"we found our house!"

You made an offer and it was accepted. Congratulations! There's a lot that is about to happen in the next few weeks. Attorneys. Paperwork. Inspections. Negotiations. Appraisals. Underwriting. There is sometimes an extra surprise or two mixed in. It can be nerve-wracking and a lot of patience is required, but you're in the home stretch! When you get a text from me that you are "clear-to-close" then you can take a breath, because you're golden.

Closing day

The day we've all been waiting for. We'll meet at the attorney's office and you'll have a lot of paperwork to sign. Your hand will be sore once you're done. It won't be too sore, I hope, to take the keys out of my hand! You now own a home! This is likely one of the best and and most rewarding experiences decisions you will have ever made.

in conclusion...

As you can see, there is a lot to buying a home. I am here to guide you through each step. I am here for you after the process. I'm only a phone call, text, or email away.
